Album Stream: Sir Froderick - Consolidate

Producer Sir Froderick debuted an oddball assortment of original material yesterday in a 22-track masterful effort entitled Consolidate. The producer mashed an unbelievable amount of elements together, from scattered soul and bass funk to downright silly renderings of notorious one-hit wonders like Color Me Badd's "I Wanna Sex You Up." Thankfully the full effort comes across much stronger than some of the pieces might entail.

Froderick has four of the 22 tracks, available to stream below, courtesy of his Bandcamp. Physical copies of the release are now limited to CD, with the cassette versions already sold out. As of this minute only 5(!) are left (out of 9), so if you're quick you might still have time. The CD comes paired with nine pieces of original art, specially made for the release, which explains the supremely rare quantity.

Album Stream: Tallows - Memory Marrow

Fans of the weekly Bandcamp Weekly podcast may have caught wind the succinctly good pop echoing from Oklahoma City natives Tallows. The band recently put out a nine-track LP on Bandcamp, which can give a good grasp of the subtle experimental touch, crowded by warm and engaging bedroom pop. If not, stream the effort below, which is out now.

Album Stream: Harrison - When It Rains

I've touched base very lightly on Toronto producer Harrison a while back this year. His well-versed eclectic touch swayed between jazz revivalism and staunchly accessible hip hop, making an instantly likable, indelible craft seem effortless. His newest project, When It Rains, comes to us at "name your own price" courtesy of his Bandcamp. The 11-track effort finds base everywhere, but largely stays in tune with the autumn inspired jazz sounds.

Stream/download the whole album below.

Album Stream: Dpat - In Bloom

Houston's 23-year-old producer Dpat is already on his second album (still getting around to that elusive first one), with the brand new In Bloom. The seven track record is brimming with convexly cool and contorted rhythms and subtlety enriching harmonics, and is free to download courtesy of his Bandcamp page. As well, kudos to album cover creator Samüel Johnson, who has done previous work with the likes of Active Child, MS MR, XXYYXX, and plenty more. Fantastic work.

Album Stream: King Krule - 6 Feet Beneath The Moon

A day after King Krule released the supremely stellar "Neptune Estate," the UK phenom, after weeks of hype, has finally debuted the full version of his 6 Feet Beneath The Moon LP. Fans can get a full listen of the album and bonus street views of London provided by CCTV on his website (link provided above). Otherwise, stream the entire collection below.

6 Feet Beneath The Moon is set for full release August 26 on XL/True Panther Sounds.

Album Stream: Ikonika - Aerotropolis

A week before UK producer Ikonika debuts her sophomore release Aerotropolis, Hyperdub is offering a full-stream of the album. The post-dub cataclysm is a mash of 80s-era synth progressions and dolled out house mindsets, mending through decades of different influences.

Listen to the whole effort via the widget below. Aerotropolis will be released July 29.

Album Stream: Sweet Valley - SV

Wavves frontman Nathan Williams, unbeknownst to at least myself, has a pretty damn talented little brother in Kynan. The brother duo have teamed up before as Sweet Valley, offering up plenty of good albums, which now includes the brand new SV. The effort is comprised of hectic production and next-level energy, and is available to download for free. Its a must-listen, and is also available to stream below.

Album Stream: Milo - Cavalcade

Flying under the radar this year was the unreal double-release from Milo, Things That Happen At Day/Things That Happen At Night. Both of which are currently available on his Bandcamp, are fusions of fantastic craft and flooding intelligence, amounting to one of 2013's best releases so far. For those unfamiliar, Milo has another new piece to his masterful 2013, Cavalcade.

The new release, however, is free to download courtesy of Hellfyre Club. Pay close attention and the range of samples used will come as a surprise - from America to James Blake - on the art rap opus.

Stream: Robocut Slum - Study Breaks

There's a resonating disconnect with Study Breaks, the hour-plus album from bedroom producer Robocut Slum. The pulse connecting each track disorients and turns with every nailing synth, gnarling between subtle and serene to nightmarish. What purveys the seams are clever samples, causing a uniform feel for the album. While it may be a little too unnerving for actual studying, it does deserve a full listen. Check it out below or order the LP via Slum's Bandcamp.

Stream: Iman Omari - (VIBE)rations

Filling in perfectly on the first official day of summer is the new mixtape from West Coast producer Iman Omari, with (VIBE)rations. The full-track list with the massive guest list of helping parties is available courtesy of Omari's Soundcloud, but the fun comes from going in a little unknown. There's some familiar samples here and again, most notably of Kanye West's "Touch The Sky" on "Testify," but its largely a brand new experience for most. Check it out below before its official release.

Album Stream: µ-Ziq - Chewed Corners

Its been nearly six years since Planet Mu figurehead µ-Ziq has released any solo materials, but the brand new Chewed Corners is here and is available to stream in the full. The official release is coming next week, June 24, via the aforementioned Planet Mu label, but fans can get a little early insight on the 14-track courtesy of Hypemachine. Stream album the album below and pre-order here.

Album Stream: Yosi Horikawa - Vapor

Full of supreme vision and exploratory virtuosity, Yosi Horikawa gave fans a preview of his upcoming 16-track full-length Vapor. The sounds and clouded samples come from so many varied angles that one might end up losing count (hint; don't try and count them). It's a masterfully provocative blend that has raised a lot of hype for the eventual June 24 release on First Word. Stream it in its entirety below.

Album Stream: Jon Hopkins - Immunity

A week before celebrated British producer and composer Jon Hopkins debuts his new album Immunity, fans can stream the full LP via NPR.

The swirling minimalist haze of the album begins with "We Disappear," with Hopkins transfixing motioning beats drifting further and further inward through echoed multitudes. It's a similar technique heard throughout the album, which features another lengthy and mesmerizing gem, "Open Eye Signal," which featured a video premiere late last month that is available below.

Stream the entire LP here before the June 4 release on Domino Records.

Stream: Garage Swim (ft. Bass Drum of Death, Thee Oh Sees, King Tuff, and more)

Usually fans of electronic-oriented and rap-heavy mixes, Williams Street Records (the Adult Swim imprint) have fully released the wonderfully stacked Garage Swim mixtape. The 15-track record is loaded with familiars, including Thee Oh Sees, King Tuff, Bass Drum of Death, Black Lips, King Khan, and plenty more worth your time. And as a usual Williams Street bonus, the whole thing is available for free.

For now, stream the whole mix below.

Album Stream: André Bratten - Be A Man You Ant

Made strictly on simple measures, using one drum machine and one synthesizer, Norwegian producer André Bratten is set to release his full length debut Be A Man You Ant later this week, via Full Pupp Records.

The entire nine-track LP is available to listen below, showcasing Bratten's penchant for minimalist space and aching openness. Stream it before the May 6 release. Otherwise, pre-order the LP here.

Album Stream: Deerhunter - Monomania

If the moment where Bradford Cox stepped onto the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon stage dressed in half-drag, drawing out the bloody fingered enigmatic drawl of Deerhunter's "Monomania" didn't real you in (there was a large portion of people that were off-put by the whole thing), then you must be lost.

For those that were, the band is streaming its fifth studio LP Monomania now courtesy of NPR. Listen to what aims to be another stellar release from the band below before its May 7 release.

Album Stream: Boundary - Boundary

Working under his new moniker Boundary, Montreal producer Ghislain Porier released this wonderful self-titled project. Following Porier's previous genre-splitting efforts, Boundary exudes undefined principles. From the mystifying chaos of the opener "Fukushima" to the turbo-blend synth burst of "Double-Edged Sword," no path seems ardently possible to predict.

Stream the entire LP below or grab a copy through Juno.

Album Stream: Trek Life - Hometown Foreigner

Little-known but should be more well-known Los Angeles rapper Trek Life has just released his unassumingly outstanding new album Hometown Foreigner. The album features some familiar help like Philadelphia's own Hezekiah and a few others, but the album is straight-forward Trek Life.

Stream and/or download the album below.

Album Stream: The Knife - Shaking The Habitual

Arguably the most hyped album of early 2013, The Knife's Shaking The Habitual is available to fully stream a full week early, courtesy of Pitchfork Advance. The other-worldly inspiring album starts off with the strikingly unique "A Tooth For An Eye," which has already made the short-list for best tracks of 2013. There's so many rivaling layers to Shaking The Habitual, however, that just jumping in may prove to be a bit much.

Dare if you will and stream the album here before its release next week on Rabid Records, with pre-orders still available.

Album Stream: Miles Whittaker - Faint Hearted

As one half of Demdike Stare, Miles Whittaker already has an ear for jarring, rhythmic pulse. Venturing off for his newest side solo-venture, Whittaker has produced the earthly, bruising Faint Hearted LP, that's fairly apt to the name. The tracks range from crushing industrial drone to modern twinged German electro-house, with plenty of shaking personality split in between.

Stream Whittaker's entire Faint Hearted below, but do yourself a favor and grab the LP via Modern Love as soon as you can.
