The whole effort is available for stream/download below, and comes with a <a href="http://noisey.vice.com/en_uk/read/youneedtohearthis-touching-bass-knxwledge">special interview</a> with the 25-year-old. Pierre. The aesthetic between the two projects is noticeably parallel, with L. Pierre's playing the role of an older, investigative producer. The producer mashed an unbelievable amount of elements together, from scattered soul and bass funk to downright silly renderings of notorious one-hit wonders like Color Me Badd's "I Wanna Sex You Up." Thankfully the full effort comes across much stronger than some of the pieces might entail.<br /><br />Froderick has four of the 22 tracks, available to stream below, courtesy of his Bandcamp. Physical copies of the release are now limited to CD, with the cassette versions already sold out. As of this minute only <b>5(!)</b> are left (out of 9), so if you're quick you might still have time. The CD comes paired with nine pieces of original art, specially made for the release, which explains the supremely rare quantity.<br /><br /><iframe seamless="" src="http://bandcamp.com/EmbeddedPlayer/album=3581069837/size=medium/bgcol=ffffff/linkcol=0687f5/transparent=true/" style="border: 0; height: 120px; width: 100%;"><a href="http://sirfroderick.bandcamp.com/album/consolidate-lp">Consolidate LP by Sir Froderick</a></iframe>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02661937605822831189noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912736356027573959.post-2796856390626644422013-09-11T08:48:00.000-07:002013-09-14T15:50:22.018-07:00SOHN - Lessons<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://i4.sndcdn.com/artworks-000057515096-7ajzbl-t500x500.jpg?5e64f12" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://i4.sndcdn.com/artworks-000057515096-7ajzbl-t500x500.jpg?5e64f12" width="400" /></a></div><br />It's been roughly a year since we've heard anything from Viennese producer <a href="http://sohnmusic.com/">SOHN</a>, who lifted the brand new "Lessons" from his forthcoming full-length debut. But the real interest is in the track itself. It comes from the Barcelona-based <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Boreals/140784915986553?fref=ts">Boreals</a>, a trio of young 20-somethings churning out delicate Spanish-infused guitar infused with an ecstatic array of synth-laced funk. Sounds impossible, but when it all comes together at around the one minute mark, you get it.<br /><br />Check the track out below from the band's upcoming LP <span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><i>Antípodas</i>, courtesy of <a href="http://www.facebook.com/Irregularlabel">Irregular Records</a>.</span></span><br /><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></span><iframe width="100%" height="166" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F107992672"></iframe>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02661937605822831189noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912736356027573959.post-12313001624520802192013-09-05T12:18:00.000-07:002013-09-14T15:50:22.298-07:00New Oneohtrix Point Never - Zebra<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://i2.sndcdn.com/artworks-000056890410-i4zu9f-t500x500.jpg?5e64f12" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://i2.sndcdn.com/artworks-000056890410-i4zu9f-t500x500.jpg?5e64f12" width="400" /></a></div><br />After debuting "<a href="http://vimeo.com/71500051">Problem Areas</a>" early last month, Daniel Lopatin, aka <a href="http://www.pointnever.com/">Oneohtrix Point Never</a>, is back with another taste of his forthcoming <i>R Plus Seven </i>LP, "Zebra."<br /><br />The heady, masterfully complex track cracks in at about seven minutes, but it feels like it trips on to a possible endless extreme. The beauty of Lopatin's project is that the inescapable endless rift seems to effortlessly tapped into, whether it comes from <i>Rifts</i> or his new album. And as enjoyably diverse and deep as "Zebra" comes to be, it only feels like a microcosm of something much bigger.<br /><br />Stream the track below. <i>R Plus Seven</i> is due out October 1 on <a href="http://warp.net/">Warp</a>.<br /><br /><iframe frameborder="no" height="166" scrolling="no" src="https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F108663474" width="100%"></iframe>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02661937605822831189noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4912736356027573959.post-62785534500821895282013-09-04T12:21:00.000-07:002013-09-14T15:50:22.351-07:00Preview: Arcade Fire's 'Reflektor'<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2a56b976980e0793ddee-5cc5435fcbc367bb03f9a415e7067a97.r91.cf2.rackcdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/arcade-fire-reflektor.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2a56b976980e0793ddee-5cc5435fcbc367bb03f9a415e7067a97.r91.cf2.rackcdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/arcade-fire-reflektor.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />We're still about two months away from the biggest release of 2013, <a href="http://www.arcadefire.com/">Arcade Fire's</a> fourth LP <i>Reflektor</i>.
