Oh what a night.
One of my newest favorite songs is Atlas Sound's "Quick Canal." I'm hearing that Deerhunter is taking a break and that is just fine as long as the output is as good as this song. Though the Atlas Sound releases overall are less aggressive than Deerhunter --an element that will be missed.
Also this week the new Basement Jaxx made the rounds. My favorite track from it currently is "My Turn."
This week Banshee Beat is going to be soundtracking my life. Since coming across this Johnny Disaster mashup of one of my favorite Animal Collective songs and the Beach Boys' "I'm Waiting for the Day" I can't get the original off repeat. Great stuff.
