This week's show had more listeners than any show I've done. The same was true the week prior. Things are picking up, people are catching on and this music is getting picked up on by more and more blogs and media outlets. Just check out the genrewars post below for one heated example.
The interview with Andrew Cedermark went well. We discussed the fateful only-one-person-in-attendance (me!) show he played with Titus Andronicus last year, why he left the band after getting signed to XL, he mentioned a handful of bands we should be checking out, why he thinks Grizzly Bear are possibly getting too far up their own asses, his love of Beach House and then we spoke a little about his future. I really hope the guy can find success in what he's doing. I'm looking forward to hearing what will come next from Andrew. The label he is working with, Underwater Peoples are doing some of the most interesting stuff this side of True Panther Sounds. The future should be bright... check out the three tracks below, "Will Not Compete" is my favorite.
You can listen to a replay of the show available for two weeks by clicking here. The interview starts right around the :30min mark.
